Copyright Registration

Copyright is an authorization or sole right to the owner/creator of the work to copy or reproduce the work or grant the permission to copy or reproduce the work.

A video clip, audio recording track, piece of music can also be copyrighted with the concern of other co-performers.

The Process

1. Search

A general search can be executed weather the work created is previously applied/registered.

2. Filing

The application can be filed with requisite fees. A diary no is generated for the application which can be refer for any correspondence with copyright registration authority.

3. Follow up

A through follow up has to be maintained in case of discrepancy, acceptance of application or rejection of application.

4. Registration

Once copyright registrar satisfied with the work, applicant receives registration certificate for the work applied.
